Best Buy and Starkey Hearing Foundation Team Up Again!
Starkey Hearing Foundation and the GRAMMY Foundation have partnered to raise social awareness of hearing conservation.
Hearing loss is a significant and growing health issue. Worldwide, more than 500 million are estimated to have hearing loss, including one in ten Americans. Still, only 16% of American physicians even test for hearing loss.
The joys of healthy hearing are experienced every day in conversations with family and friends, and in listening to the music of our favorite artists. Still, few spend much time considering hearing health until it is too late—most people haven’t had their hearing checked since elementary school!
Through the Sound Matters campaign, Starkey Hearing Foundation is raising social awareness of healthy hearing, prevention of hearing damage, and regular hearing check-ups.
Along with the entertainers and promotional partners who have joined the cause, we hope to change the way people think about hearing, the joy of listening, and the many ways that Sound Matters.
